Chelsea Blackwell (they/she) aka ASTRONYM is a Black multidisciplinary artist who's vibrant colors and quirky style has been published across industries. Hailing from Houston, TX, she landed in the DMV in 2023 and has been skyrocketing since then. Chelsea has worked with industry giants such as Scholastic, Oni Press, and many indie and local publishers such as Soaring Kite Books. Her work has also been featured in Hot Topic as apparel. Inspired by cinema, anime, video games, and a desire to share the beauty that they see in the world, their work is vibrant with imaginative characters and offbeat humor. With an ambitious and explorative nature, Chelsea has begun stepping into the tattoo industry as an apprentice at Push Tattoo Studio.
