Sofia (she/her) was 17 years old when she was published with Shout Mouse Press. She is a Mexican-American high school student from Maryland. This is her first published book. In her free time, Sofia likes to play flag football and watch Hamilton. When she graduates, Sofia would like to pursue a career in politics, hoping to serve as an elected official advancing social justice, especially racial justice, queer and women’s rights. Sofia hopes that, after reading her pieces, readers feel welcome and free to express themselves however they want.
