Lemonade (she/her) is a young African American poet from Northeast DC. Stubborn Roots contains Lemonade’s first published work. She enjoys talking about social justice issues and her community in her free time. Her goal is to become a poet who not only has memorable actions but memorable words that will change the world for the better. Her hope for the book is that people won’t just read it and forget it, but that a little girl who has been struggling can find a sense of comfort in seeing she isn’t alone.
